Vero beach- Ft Pierce

March has arrived on the Treasure Coast. It has been a cold winter for us here in January and February but the fishing has been very good. Traditionally, in March, we can expect windy conditions along with some clouds as the winter /spring transition begins to take place. March is the turning point for better weather and warmer water temperatures. Water temperatures will continue to rise this month and the fish will start the transition from the deeper water to the flats and actively begin to feed. We should begin to catch trout on the edges of the shallows where the water drops off to the 3-5 foot depths. Red fish and snook will be around the mangroves and docks. Pompano fishing has been solid as of this post with good amounts of fish for those anglers who would like to target these inshore gamefish. Spanish and bluefish are in the inlet and turning basin along with look downs and jacks. The channel edges will continue to hold a variety of bottom fish including sheepshead, snappers and groupers.
March and April are my busiest months for business as our population doubles this time of year. Try to book ahead for trips these next 2 months as I would like to make sure I can accommodate you and your friends and family. I look forward to hearing from you.
